Privacy Policy

1. What data is processed

• On-device: GPS tracks, opened fog tiles, coverage stats, settings. Never sent anywhere by itself.
• Tile server: when map fragments load, the server sees a request for a faceless tile (no account, no exact coordinates). City district packs load only when you arrive in a new city — only the fact “user is in city X” is visible.
• Cloud sync (opt-in only): email for passwordless login, encrypted track and tile deltas for merging across your devices.
• Support requests: message text and sender address — only to reply.

2. What we never do

• No ads or ad SDKs.
• No third-party map SDKs (Google Maps, Yandex, 2GIS) — open MapLibre is used.
• No sale or transfer of geodata to third parties.
• No server pushes or hidden movement analytics.

3. Purposes and basis

Data exists only to run the app: track recording, fog opening, coverage %, sync across your devices (if enabled), support replies. Basis is your consent (enabling tracking and sync) and contract performance (terms of use).

4. Retention

• Local data lives on the device until you delete it.
• Cloud sync deltas — while sync is on or until the account is deleted.
• Support emails — up to 1 year, then deleted.

5. Your rights and deletion

GPX export is one tap in the app. Deletion: the “Delete all data” button wipes local data and the cloud account (see the Data deletion page). Email requests are fulfilled within 30 days.

6. Children

The app is not intended for children under 14 without a parent. We don't knowingly collect children's data; such reports are deleted on a parent's request.

7. Map data

The map is built on © OpenStreetMap contributors data (ODbL license). Attribution is also shown in the app.

8. Policy changes

The current version is always here. Material changes are announced on the site. Continued use after changes means consent.
